The collaboration between a company and a social organisation is key to promoting ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) compliant corporate activities and responsible business practices. Such partnerships allow companies and social organisations to work together to achieve sustainability, social responsibility and positive social impacts.
The Focus on Impact roundtable participants highlighted the importance of social entrepreneurship not only in terms of financial support, but also in driving social change. Such businesses contribute to solving social problems and improving human well-being. Social enterprises also contribute to economic development by creating jobs and generating economic value. Andrea Lelovics from the Forum Institute in Šamorín pointed out that the perception among Hungarians in Slovakia that non-profit organisations should also think like businesses should be strengthened. Áron Jakab spoke about the ecosystem map showing the opportunities and importance of intersectoral cooperation. He pointed out that relationships enable an organisation or individual to stand on more than one foot, while acting as a catalyst, a resource and a predictor of expected trends. Edit Bencsik, Marketing Manager of TATA Consultancy Services, spoke about the power of forums and communities, and highlighted one of the mottos of the international company, which is to give something back to the community where you work. Klára Molnár, professional manager and CEO of Effectteam, emphasized the importance of networking and adapting to new trends. Mónika Harsányi, Head of the International Project Office of the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed the importance of shaping attitudes, aiming to guide small businesses towards a pioneering, equitable, inclusive, responsible and sustainable path.The participants of the roundtable agreed that social enterprises, non-profit organisations, individuals, or large companies that take on social or environmental responsibility can only be successful if they connect, exchange information, learn from each other and cooperate. The current social and environmental problems present us with challenges that we will only be able to tackle together.
